Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026. This policy covers meteorblaster.com, the Meteor Ark game in the browser, and the Windows and Android apps.

What we collect

  • Pilot account: your pilot name and a password. The password is stored only as a secure hash. We do not ask for your email address.
  • Game progress: coins, ships, upgrades, scores and statistics, so your save is the same on every device. Your pilot name and scores can appear on public leaderboards.
  • Guest players: a random guest key stored on your device so you can keep playing without an account.
  • Forum: the topics and replies you post are public.
  • Visit statistics: we count visits with a daily anonymous code made from the IP address and browser. We do not keep the IP address itself in these statistics.
  • Gameplay statistics: events such as "training finished", loading time and how far a first visit went, linked to a random device code (not to your name), to improve the game.

Cookies and local storage

The game stores your session and settings in your browser's local storage. It is needed for signing in and saving your progress.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

Some pages of this website show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this site and other sites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google Ads Settings, and learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. Data is only shared with the services needed to run the game: our hosting provider, Google AdSense on the pages that show ads, and the game portals (itch.io, Y8) when you play there or link your account.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your account and progress are kept while you play. To have your account deleted, post a request in the forum while logged in with that account.

Children

Meteor Ark is a family-friendly game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond a pilot name and game progress.

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page.
